A more lightweight wander today – took a trip on the monorail out to the KL Tower, which is a huge spire in the middle of a small forest, sitting at the center of KL.
Bit of a fun pathway heading up to the tower – lots and lots of stairs and some completely unnecessary rope bridge things and, at the top, the observatory deck, complete with obligatory (compulsory) photo ops and, so I’m told, a MacDonalds in a higher food court….

Choosing to skip that, we headed down to the wierd and wonderful creature show at the base of the tower.. lizards, snakes and spiders of all varieties were on show in appropriately small cages, a helpful chap was on hand to charge 5myr a go for photos of you with a random snake pulled from a nearby unmarked tank and the star of the show, a twin-headed turtle (only about 5inches across, so forget the ray harryhausen imaginings..) swam unglamourously in an undecided direction…
